This Christmas, while many families gather in warmth and comfort, families in Sajcavilla continue to live on dirt floors that turn to mud during the rainy season.
The Méndez Nijsol family lives in a partially finished home with dirt floors, deteriorated corrugated metal sheeting, and high humidity. With infants and young children crawling on the ground, the lack of a clean, solid floor puts their health and development at risk.
