Help furnish the Community Lounge, a shared space created by our community, for our community.

The Community Lounge is a place where people can pause, connect, wait, talk, or simply be.

Through A Place to Belong, we’re inviting our community to help furnish this space ahead of our opening.

The Story

The Community Lounge has been designed as a welcoming, everyday space, not for programmes or appointments, but for people.

It’s a place to sit with a coffee, meet a friend, wait for a class to start, or take a quiet moment. A place where connection happens naturally.

We believe spaces like this matter. When people feel comfortable and welcome, community grows.

That’s why we’re asking for help to bring this space to life.

What Your Support Will Do

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to fully furnish the Community Lounge before opening day.

Comfortable seating

Tables and shared surfaces

Soft furnishings

The warm, welcoming touches that turn a room into a place people want to be
 

Rather than itemising furniture, this campaign focuses on creating the feeling of the space, one that is calm, comfortable, and inclusive.

How You Can Be Part of It

There’s no set amount and no pressure, every contribution helps create the same shared space.

$50 - helps create a place to sit

$100 - helps create a place to connect

$250 - helps create a place to gather

Any amount - helps create a place to belong

However you choose to give, you’ll be helping create a space that will be used and enjoyed by our community every day.

Recognition

Everyone who contributes to A Place to Belong will be acknowledged on a permanent recognition display within the Community Lounge.

This display will recognise the individuals, families, and organisations who helped furnish this space, celebrating the collective effort that made it possible. Names will be listed alphabetically, reflecting the shared ownership of this space.

A Space for Everyone

When the doors open on 6 March, the Community Lounge will belong to everyone who walks through them.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, it will be a place of connection, rest, and belonging, now and for years to come.
