Bilal Al-Lahham is a 20-year-old from Deir al-Balah, Gaza, whose home and family's livelihood were destroyed during the war. As the eldest son, he now supports his family of 11, including his elderly father, who has diabetes and is unable to work.

Despite war, displacement, and hardship, Bilal remained committed to his education, graduating from high school with an outstanding 94% in the science stream. His dream is to become a doctor, but financial difficulties have prevented him from attending university, leaving his education on hold for the past three years.

Bilal is now seeking a scholarship abroad to continue his medical studies and build a better future, with the hope of one day supporting and helping evacuate his family.

A devoted Muslim and gifted Quran reciter, Bilal draws strength, patience, and hope from his faith in Allah. The Quran has been his source of comfort throughout every hardship, giving him the resilience to keep pursuing his dreams despite the challenges he faces.
