A helping Paw is needed for Wendy and Stardust!

4 Paws regularly takes in animals who require that extra little bit of love and care. It is now the turn of Wendy & Stardust to receive a "new home, new life" Can you help us to help them?Here is their story.....

Two beautiful lady Chihuahuas, Mother and Daughter; Wendy and Stardust are super sweet, quiet and affectionate. Unfortunately not having a great start to life, both come from a backyard breeding situation. Extremely frightened when they arrived at 4 Paws Animal Rescue as they had not been socialised and not used to the outside world. 8 yr old Wendy (black and tan), can be a little timid and is a little unsure when she goes to new surroundings. Stardust who is almost 7 yrs is Lilac and fawn. When they first arrived at 4 Paws our first step was a thorough vet check.  Unfortunately Wendy had mammary tumours which are common in breeding, non desexed female dogs. Wendy has undergone three surgeries so far, desexing, major dental work and a surgery to remove her mammary tumours.  Stardust has also been desexed and had major dental surgery which included 14 extractions. 

At this stage all the vet work has cost over $8000 but we feel that it is worth it to give these beautiful girls a fresh start in life. A life in which they can run around, be happy and enjoy their time together.  

Wendy & Stardust are currently being cared for by a fabulous Foster Carer who is nursing them through their surgeries.

4 Paws Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer run organisation and it relies heavily on donations so that we can help dogs and cats like Wendy and Stardust.  Can you assist 4 Paws Animal Rescue?

On a separate note, please think about where your beautiful fur babies come from as this is the face of backyard breeding. Thankfully a responsible family member has handed both these gorgeous girls into 4 Paws Animal Rescue.  After their surgeries, vaccinations and X Rays, all we would like is for these two ladies to find a loving and caring home.
