Goal
Care Services is a subdivision of Care Collective, a recently emerged independent non-profit harm reduction organization. Care Services is our solution to ensuring vital event amenities such as coat check, device charging, and lost and found are not overlooked. These types of services are incredibly essential but are often one of the last things to be considered when putting on an event. That's where we step in. Now, these resources do not usually come to mind when you think of classical harm reduction, but we know better than anyone that these services are an intricate part of event safety measures. Being able to safely store your personal belongings means you are more likely to come prepared for adverse weather. Being able to charge your phone or recover your lost items could be the make or break the difference between you getting home safely or being completely stranded out in the cold.
It is our belief that an organization that truly cares about these offerings like ourselves should be the community’s first choice in the service provider. On-site we will be working directly with promoters, venue coordinators, event security, and patrons to curate safer event spaces with a focus on creating a better overall experience and positive outcomes for everyone in the ways you would least suspect. Off-site we will be working diligently to unite all lost or left behind items with their appropriate owners until every inquiry has been answered. As a nonprofit, we are committed to offering our services as close to cost as feasible to ensure we are able to assist the community as much as is conceivably possible, but in order to do that we are once again asking for your support. We are attempting to raise $50,000 annually to start with hopes of doubling that over the course of the next few years. There are approximately 250,000 people in the PNW EDM community alone. That means if only 4 out of every 100 people gave just $5/year the program could almost entirely be funded by the community. So what we are really asking is… Who's got five on it?
