WELCOME!
First, thank you for coming to my site. This is for an important cause: Self-care - and care for others. In order to raise funding for the Chinatown Community for Equitable Development, due to the recent wave of Anti-Asian racism - our program, Unity Summer will be hosting 2 Public Karaoke Events at Malibu Beach.
Your donations will not only go towards funding the CCED, but will also fund the fully-paid internships we’re offering to inner-city youth. We’ll be teaching them video production and event management-related job skills like editing, event planning, filming, sound mixing, scheduling, and more.
Unity Summer Program is fiscally sponsored by The Notice Foundation. They're a 501(c)(3) private foundation that develops and supports narratives from marginalized communities.
You can be a part of the process by donating.
Project Mission Statement
1. Preventing juvenile delinquency by offering paid internships to low-income BIPOC youth. We will also provide on-the-job training for Event Management, Film Production, and Fundraising.
2. Combating Community deterioration through empowering and partnering with engaged stakeholders and leaders in the community. We will also be donating 25% of funds raised to the Chinatown Community for Equitable Development.
3. Lessening neighborhood tensions and racial prejudice by hosting two Karaoke events, that teach racial awareness, marketed to different ethnic groups in the local area.
