Kalos Agathos Foundation - Legacy of Bruce Hopping
A Multigenerational Foundation
Through its predecessor organizations, the New Jersey Committee, and the Kalos Kagathos Foundation, the Kalos Agathos Foundation has supported art, aquatic sports, and environmental awareness since 1953.
While the Kalos Kagathos Foundation was officially created in 1968, its predecessor organization, the New Jersey Committee began in 1953 when, after the death of his father, Founding Director Bruce Hopping used his inheritance to create a foundation that would promote swimming as an ideal form of exercise.
Today Christina Cones continues the work and legacy of furthering the work of Bruce Hopping as the President & Director of the Kalos Agathos Foundation. Christina worked with Bruce Hopping and the Kalos Kagathos foundation for nearly a decade in Laguna Beach, eventually becoming secretary in March, 2017. After Mr. Hopping’s passing in May, 2018, she formed the Kalos Agathos foundation to carry on the legacy of Mr. Hopping’s original foundation
