Fairwood Alliance 2024-2025 Classroom Donation

Each year the Fairwood Explorer Alliance relies upon the generous support of our families to provide enriching learning opportunities for our children. Every dollar you donate today will directly support one of the amazing Explorer activities at Fairwood. Some of examples of these activities include, but are not limited to:

• Field Trips - Field trips at Fairwood take many forms! They can be as simple as a kindergarten trip to Pizza My Heart to learn about goods and services, to fourth grade overnight field trips to explore the impact of the Gold Rush on California’s history.
  • As a school, we strive to take our students on ten field trips every year, and these field trips are funded by the Alliance, not the School District.
• Hands-On Learning Materials - Providing materials for cooking, science, art, and Project-Based Learning units - fueling hands-on, engaging education.
• Meet the Masters - Purchasing art supplies like chalk and paints so that students can practice techniques inspired by the works of renowned historical artists.
• Project Cornerstone - Supporting social-emotional learning through the ABC Reader program with necessary materials.
• Social and Academic Community Events - Hosting fun, community-building events throughout the year, such as school picnics, dances, carnivals, walk-a-thons, math night, science night, reading night, and the international festival.
• Garden projects - Connecting students with nature by planting seeds, tending to the garden, and harvesting what they grow - cultivating both food and minds.

After conferring with the classroom teachers, we are suggesting the following donation amounts for this year’s planned activities:

• $150 (or $15 per month) for each TK, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade student

• $300 (or $30 per month) for each Fourth and Fifth Grade student (higher contribution due to overnight field trips)

You can donate in a lump sum right now, or donate monthly over the school year. Every dollar you contribute will go directly toward funding these wonderful activities and more! 100% of your donation will support projects, activities, and supplies at Fairwood Elementary.

At Fairwood, we are committed to ensuring all students have access to these opportunities. If you are able, we invite you to consider making an additional contribution to help families who may be unable to donate this year.
