For my birthday this year (Oct 2nd), I am asking for donations to my Labs and More Howl-O-Ween Mutt Run fundraiser.  To better understand why I'm so passionate about rescuing dogs, I want to share the story of Feta.  Feta was found with a homeless man in Mexico who was carrying her newborn puppies around in a cloth sack. Labs and More found out about Feta and her pups and quickly offered to help them.  Fortunately, the man relinquished them and they were moved to a foster home where they were safe and well cared for.  Feta was very underweight and also had an injured paw.  Once her puppies were weaned and her health improved, her left front arm had to be amputated.  Despite all her hardship, Feta remained a sweet and loving dog not to mention an amazing momma.  Luckily all her puppies were adopted into wonderful homes.  I don't even want to think about what would have happened to Feta and her pups if Labs and More hadn't rescued her.  Saving dogs like Feta isn't cheap and we can't do it without your help so please donate and please share.  Thank you!
