My fiancé Yaniv & I started volunteering with Labs And More in December 2020 when we brought home our first foster puppies, Sonny and Sadie. We were certainly in over our heads - those cute puppies gave us a run for our money! Although they certainly destroyed a few plants and made some messes, they also gave us the best snuggles in an otherwise lonely COVID Christmas.

From what we knew about their life pre-LAM, Sonny and Sadie were living outside on a desert farm with 30 other dogs, without enough food to survive. I was so appreciative of Labs And More for rescuing those puppies (and their mom, too!) and giving them the opportunity for a love-filled life. What surprised me the most about Sonny and Sadie was how quickly they warmed up to us and trusted us. Even when they had never experienced love, they were capable of giving us so much. 

After our time as fosters was over, we adopted our own LAM pup, Brodie (formerly known as Ferrari of the Casablanca litter.) I know everyone says this about their dog, but he’s truly the best. Every day, I feel so grateful that we were able to bring him home - and I stand by the fact that he picked us and not the other way around. It’s hard to say who rescued whom. 🤗

Since then, I’ve continued my volunteer work as an adoption coach, helping families find their perfect pups and pups find their perfect forever home. This year, I’ve helped over 25 families adopt and the experience has been heartwarming and incredibly rewarding. 

Labs and More Dog Rescue has rescued more than 13,000 dogs since our inception in 2011. I hope you’ll consider donating to our Mutt Run page so LAM can continue to rescue more dogs next year!
