Goal

Skippy’s luck ran out early one morning when a coyote caught him. Someone nearby screamed and the coyote dropped him, but he had badly wounded Skippy. This small, terrified, 18 lb dog bolted and hid in the bushes, where he stayed for days- the people in the neighborhood thought he had died. He had been surviving by running in and out of cars and sleeping under bushes. Late at night, he would be brave enough to sleep on porches or under bushes trying to stay warm and safe, hoping someone would take him inside.

Days later, someone heard the whines of a pup under a bush, and there he was, shivering cold, in shock, and in pain from his serious bite wounds. They took him to a shelter, but ne needed immediate Vet care, more than a shelter is able to provide. Without the help of a Rescue, he would have to be euthanized by the end of the day. With an urgent plea to our Volunteers, we had a team who were committed to saving his life. Even with our funds running low, we couldn't say no.

Please, can you donate so we can get Skippy the care he needs to survive? Today, your gift can go twice as far. A generous group of supporters has stepped forward to create a matching fund of $10,000. By making an urgent matching gift now, we can raise $20,000, that's matching penny for penny. This will ensure our critical work can continue to help rescued dogs like Skippy.
