"Hey, since we're still working from home do you think we should foster a dog?" - Me, to Ross in November 2020, right before we picked up Talcum, our postpartum mama with a broken leg.

Sweet Talcum was hit by a car while she was pregnant, and gave birth at the vet; without Labs & More neither she nor her puppies would have survived. After raising a litter of puppies, having her bad leg amputated, and undergoing treatment for a reversible medical condition, today she is thriving in a loving forever home with a kitty sibling and a dog sister!

Talcum was the first of 10 dogs we've been lucky enough to help save. Since then we've had Othello, a shy German Shepherd Mix who needed a little confidence to confront the scary world of leash walking; Howell, the most photogenic Chow/Retriever mix who was also petrified of life until he made some dog friends; Jones, a giant Shepherd mix who was mystified by our ceiling fan; Apache, a husky mix with scarring so bad from burns they originally thought he was much older than he actually is; Pita, a Shepherd/Malinois mix who had been in care for over a year before finding her forever; Tegan, another Malinois/coyote(?) mix who as hairless from mange when she was rescued; Seabiscuit, a boxer mix with the sweetest disposition who just needed surgery to correct his eyelids from rolling in; Taboo, a skinny young mom who needed to put on some weight after raising her puppies; and our current medical case, Millet, who needed 2 knee surgeries and a major dental excavation, and has arthritis.
