9 Millones  is an independent news network committed to amplifying the voices of Puerto Rican communities. We are made up of journalists, educators and designers who love Puerto Rico, its people, culture and ecosystems. For the past five years, we have been creating constructive, data-driven stories that help the nine million Puerto Ricans in the world, and our allies, to advocate for a more equitable and healthier society.

Through explainers, investigative reporting, and solutions journalism, rooted in community insight, our work is centered around keeping information open and accessible, so that Puerto Ricans everywhere can learn, grow, and act from these collective insights.

We believe in keeping our information OPEN to all because the nine million boricuas living around the world should have access to this wisdom and these insights. However, reporting, researching and verifying information takes time and money.

Nos componemos de periodistas, educadores y diseñadores que aman a Puerto Rico, su gente, cultura y ecosistemas. En los últimos cinco años, hemos producido historias constructivas y basadas en datos que ayudan a los nueve millones de puertorriqueños en el mundo, y a nuestros aliados, a abogar por una sociedad más equitativa y saludable.
