7Hills is running their 2022 fundraiser to run Urban Education programs in Amman, Jordan. They are collecting funds to create safe (public) spaces, host fun, free-of-charge skate, arts & crafts programs and empower youth in Jordan.

FREE OF CHARGE SKATE PROGRAMMING FOR YOUTHS

YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS FOR 25 GIRLS AND BOYS

INFORMAL EDUCATION IN OUR ARTS AND CRAFTS YOUTH HUB

REACH:

OVER 200 YOUTHS EVERY WEEK IN THE SKATEPARK

(45% female participation & 60% refugee participation)

OVER 250 YOUTHS/YEAR IN THE CREATIVE YOUTH HUB

(50% female participation & 50% refugee participation)

FUNDS ARE USED FOR:

5 DAYS/WEEK ACTIVITIES FOR YOUTHS

- SKATE CLASSES

- FREE TRANSPORTATION TO THE SKATEPARK

- LOANER SKATEBOARDS

- YOUTHLEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

- COMMUNITY & CULTURAL EVENTS FOR THE YOUTH (skate events, exhibitions, public talks, screenings, etc.)

- OPERATIONAL CREATIVE YOUTH HUB: ARTS, MEDIA & CRAFTS WORKSHOPS

Workshops range from carpentry to build your own ramps and jewelry, upcycleing, clothing design with sewing, silkscreen and lino printing, or arts like painting murals, sculpturing, film and editing and much more.

EVERY DOLLAR/EURO/DINAR WILL HELP US TO GIVE YOUTHS FREE ACCESS TO SKATEBOARDING, SAFE (public) SPACES, AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY, ARTS AND CRAFTS, AND PHYSICAL AND CREATIVE OUTLETS.

WITH YOUR SUPPORT WE CAN PROVIDE SAFE, ENRICHING AND CREATIVE SPACES TO EMPOWER, INSPIRE, HARMONIZE AND INVEST IN THE YOUTH.

TARGET GROUP:

Since 2014 till today, 7Hills has been building a super diverse community of young people with over 10 different nationalities. We work with host, migrant and refugee communities including Jordanian, Syrian, Palestinian, Lebanese, Sudani, Somali, Yemeni, Egyptian, Nigerian, Filipino, Iraqi youths between 5 and 35 years old

JORDANIAN CONTEXT:

Jordan hosts a multitude of refugees from neighboring countries. Today, there are 57 nationalities present in Jordan. Furthermore, 70% of the population in Jordan is younger than 30, and most of them have no occupation, limited access to public spaces, sports, recreation and few outlets for creativity or play.

7Hills bridges the gap between socio-economic, cultural, religious gender differences to create harmonized spaces for youths from all walks of life, although with extra focus on marginalized and underserved youth groups.
