6th Transition Town Totnes Film Festival
We’re thrilled to announce that the 6th Transition Town Totnes Film Festival will take place in collaboration with Totnes Cinema on November 19th, from 10am until closing. Join us for a day of inspirational talks, workshops and film screenings to explore ways in which we can live more sustainably and become more resilient.
In the morning the café will be open as usual from 10am for the general public when there will also be an opportunity to join filmmakers Emilio Mula and Edson Acero for a workshop in animation. Numbers are limited so to ensure that you can attend the workshop it is advised to pre-register to secure your spot. It's free to attend and families are welcome. The afternoon will be a ticketed event from 2pm for the screening of two documentary films by Cornwall Climate Care including, Food for Thought and Under the Surface, followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker Claire Wallerstein and Colum Pawson, Head Gardener at Schumacher College.
A film by Schumacher alumni and activist Li An Phoa, Drinkable Rivers will round off the afternoon series of documentary films, accompanied by a talk from Friends of the River Dart.
A very special evening will commence from 7pm with guest speaker Rob Hopkins, co-founder of Transition Town Totnes introducing the film of the night, King Coal. Film Festival attendees can purchase tickets for the evening film at members rates for Totnes Cinema.
Tickets cost £5 for adults OVER 21 or £1 for UNDER 21s. Additional donations welcome to allow us to showcase the next Transition Town Totnes Film Festival.
