Outsiders Farm & Sanctuary

Important Update

When we launched this campaign, our original goal was $60,000, an amount that would have allowed us to stabilize operations and begin paying down high-interest debt. However, after several unexpected and urgent veterinary expenses in recent weeks, the total funds needed to truly reduce our debt and monthly overhead have increased.

Our updated goal is $78,000, which reflects both the medical costs already incurred and the additional payments required to eliminate as much high-interest financing as possible. Meeting this goal will give Outsiders Farm & Sanctuary the breathing room needed to cover essential expenses each month, ensuring long-term stability for the animals who call this sanctuary home.

💚 Updated Campaign Breakdown – November 2025

When this campaign began, the first funds raised were immediately used to stabilize urgent, past-due needs:

• ✅ September Food Bill – paid in full

• ✅ August & September Medical Bills – paid in full

• ✅ October Veterinary Care – nearly $10,000 in emergency care, including for our steer Yonah and multiple other residents

Those expenses allowed us to keep the sanctuary running and start a new month on solid ground. The first $29,000 raised went entirely toward food, medical care, and overdue balances, keeping every animal fed, treated, and safe. 

Now, we begin Phase 2: reducing the high-interest debt that is draining resources every single month.

• Eliminates a $900/month payment burden

• COMPLETED 11/16/2025- Micro Goal 1:  $4500 to pay off the Volunteer Shed

• Current Micro Goal 2:  $13,000 to pay off the Big Pig Barn mortgage

Paying off all remaining balances will free up over $3,300 per month in overhead — allowing us to fully cover the food bill and a large portion of recurring care expenses moving forward.

What It Takes to Run Outsiders

• Animal Care – $20,227/month: Food, produce, bedding, meds, enrichment, routine vet care, cremation, farrier, and in-house medical supplies.

• Facilities & Maintenance – $3,935/month: Utilities, property upkeep, equipment & vehicle repair, biosecurity, barns and shelter repairs.

• Admin & Operational – $8,014/month: Insurance, licensing, accounting, program subscriptions, postage, financing, loans, and volunteer support.

• Fundraising & Resale – $25/month: Event fees, advertising, and merchandise.

$32,201 per month just to keep Outsiders running.

$60,000+ in 60 Days – Keep the Gates Open for 400+ Rescued Animals

Outsiders Farm & Sanctuary is home to over 400 rescued farmed animals, mostly pigs but also cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits guinea pigs and more. Many came from cruelty, neglect, or abandonment. Here, they receive lifelong sanctuary, proper medical care, and love.

Right now, times are incredibly tough. We are literally fundraising for every bill we pay from vet visits to food deliveries. Without immediate help, we cannot cover urgent medical bills, keep the food flowing, and tackle the debt draining resources away from our animals.

 This fundraiser must be successful to secure our sanctuary's future and continue our mission.
