Goal
Dear Kehilat friends and family,
Join our Kehilat Means Community campaign to support progressive Jewish life in Shanghai.
Kehilat Means Community's goals are to:
1. Bring Rabbi Art Nemitoff to Shanghai for a significant part of the year.
2. Support Tov!, our Sunday school, PJ Library, Family Shabbats, BBYO and other youth programming
3. Sponsor Kehilat discounted memberships for students and those in need
4. Find a suitable regular space to hold Shabbat services and other activities
5. Hire a local organizer to coordinator our growing slate of activities
It’s a tough time for the world, but here in China Jewish life continues to move forward. Tov! has more than 30 children this year; we have started regular Jewish trivia nights, our Family Shabbats are very well attended, and we have even started some Shabbat and Havdallah, young professionals, and whisky get togethers across the city. Our aim is to keep Jewishness as part of who we are and what we do in this difficult time.
We need financial resources to continue this “restart” and make sure we institutionalize Jewish life in Shanghai.
We are a 501c3 in the US, so any donations are tax deductible for US citizens.
Thank for for supporting Jewish life in Shanghai.
