To hear the word “cancer” for patients is a shock and exceedingly difficult to understand and cope with initially. In children, it is simply devastating and not well comprehended and for parents and families, it is a deep heartache and shock. Only 4% of organized funding is directed towards pediatric cancer research and the reality is funding is dire and the incidence increasing exponentially. Funding for research to help advance therapeutic options to help the many angels out there is simply crucial.
