A cause so close and dear to my heart. The Maya Dronca Foundation is such an incredible effort to foster hope for children with cancer and their families by funding much needed research in pediatric cancer treatment.

I have worked in oncology for over 20 years, but my time in Pediatric Proton therapy at the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute stands out as being most challenging emotionally and yet the most rewarding chapter in my career. That experience was profound and impactful, and I wish no child or family would have to go through such trials.

That is why this opportunity to contribute with Dancing with the Doctors, in a manner I never imagined, means so much to me. Stepping out of my usual role in oncology and into dancing shoes is quite daunting, but nothing could make me happier than knowing I can help make a difference.
