My name is Jonathan Allen Jr. and I started my road to long-distance running in 2023. It started with some trail races that involved running up mountains and included obstacles. After that, I was asked to join a close friend in doing a 100 mile race. I am always up for a challenge. And so it started my crossover into long-distance. I got to 80 miles and had to pull out due to injury. But one never truly knows someone’s struggle until they put themselves into their shoes. After that I set in my mind I would not stop until the job is done.
After finding out about Mission Clean Water and what they do for people in Uganda I knew I had to do my part to help. With the struggles that so many go through to get through life and get clean what if I can help by any means to make it easier for them I will. With the help of the community, I know great things will come. So if I need to put my body through the grid, I will continue fighting every day. We all have so much strength, and it is amazing to see what we can accomplish.
