2026 LA Medical Mission Trip

In the coming months, I’ll be getting ready for our 2025 medical mission to San Mateo, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala with HELPS International. I’ll be joining a group of healthcare professionals, spending a week providing essential care to those in need.

HELPS organizes 10 to 12 medical teams to Guatemala annually. Our LA Medical Mission team delivers healthcare of US hospital standards through skilled medical and surgical professionals to rural communities that lack access to necessary care.

As many of you know, this is a volunteer event I participate in every year. The impact our team makes in Guatemala is transformative for both our patients and volunteers. We typically see over 1,000 patients in the clinic for wellness check-ups, general ailments, and dental issues, while our surgical team performs about 135 procedures like gallbladder removals, tubal ligations, and hernia repairs.
