2026 LA Medical Mission Trip

Finally after 40 years in the OR and raising my kids, I have to privilege of joining the LA Mission Team on their next mission trip to Guatemala. As my friend Brian said, there is absolutely no expectation on my part, but a few friends of mine have asked if they could donate when they heard I’m doing my first of hopefully many missions with this team.

Support our team for our 2026 trip to San Mateo, Guatemala! Our team of over 85 volunteers will once again provide free medical care to those in need. Our team consists of medical professionals including general practitioners, surgeons, dentists, nurses, and a group of "Helpers," who assist as translators and support staff.

Our volunteers dedicate their vacation time and fundraise to cover their travel, meals, and housing expenses while on this mission.

During our stay, we anticipate treating over a thousand of patients in clinic and dental care areas. Our surgical team plans on performing up to 130 surgeries, including cleft lip and palate repairs, gallbladder removals, tubal ligations, and hernia surgeries. Additionally, our outreach team will visit a nearby village to provide care to those unable to travel to the hospital.
