2026 LA Medical Mission Trip

On my first medical mission trip last year, something inside me changed. I was reminded   of every reason I became a nurse, the human connection, the ability to comfort, and the chance to make a real difference in someone’s life. I met people who had gone years without proper care, and being able to help them, even in small ways, filled my heart in a way that’s hard to put into words.

This year I’m joining the 2026 LA Medical Mission Trip with the Los Angeles Medical Mission Team Inc. to continue that work. I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community to help make this journey possible.

Support our team for our 2026 trip to San Mateo, Guatemala! Our team of over 85 volunteers will once again provide free medical care to those in need. Our team consists of medical professionals including general practitioners, surgeons, dentists, nurses, and a group of "Helpers," who assist as translators and support staff.

Our volunteers dedicate their vacation time and fundraise to cover their travel, meals, and housing expenses while on this mission.

During our stay, we anticipate treating over a thousand of patients in clinic and dental care areas. Our surgical team plans on performing up to 130 surgeries, including cleft lip and palate repairs, gallbladder removals, tubal ligations, and hernia surgeries. Additionally, our outreach team will visit a nearby village to provide care to those unable to travel to the hospital.
