2026 Chicago Marathon

Over the past few years, my family has become all too familiar with cancer diagnoses for our pets. Both my own cat and my parents’ dog have faced cancer diagnoses, and we were extremely fortunate to be able to pursue the treatments that gave them the best possible chance. I know that not every family has the financial ability to make those choices, and that is why I am running the 2026 Chicago Marathon to raise funds for Live Like Roo. My goal is to help make it possible for more pets to receive the care they deserve and for more families to feel supported instead of overwhelmed.

Live Like Roo is a nonprofit that provides assistance to pets and the people who love them when a cancer diagnosis suddenly changes everything. They give grants that help offset the cost of treatment, easing a burden that can feel impossible. They send care packages filled with practical items and comfort items that make recovery at home easier. They offer emotional support and guidance so families do not feel alone while navigating frightening decisions. They have also helped pets and their parents create meaningful final memories through bucket list experiences and photoshoots that celebrate their lives. Their mission is built on compassion, community, and the belief that every pet deserves a fighting chance.

Supporting Live Like Roo means directly helping families stay focused on love and time together instead of financial panic. I am proud to dedicate my marathon training to this cause, and I hope you will join me in supporting the work they do.
