2026 Chicago Marathon

Hey Y’all! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be running the 2026 Chicago Marathon as part of the Live Like Roo Team. If you haven’t heard of this incredible foundation before, Live Like Roo provides both financial and emotional support to families and their beloved four legged family members who face a cancer diagnosis. The foundation helps relieve some of the financial burden of cancer treatments, as well as sends care packages for our furry friends. They also provide funds to shelters and rescues to help those pets who face this disease and haven’t found their forever homes just yet.  The foundation was created in honor of an adorable rescue pup named Roo, who himself had to battle this disease. The mission of Live like Roo is to inspire those to live life to the fullest! This foundation means a great deal to me, having experienced firsthand how difficult this road can be -not only financially, but emotionally- when our beloved Golden Retriever, Shadow, was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Every penny is appreciated immensely. I am so excited to run all 26.2 miles in honor of the pets and their families- those still with us and those who have gone over the rainbow bridge.
