Goal

I’m Hannah, and I have been a pediatric nurse since 2014. I have had the joy of working with families affected by a diagnosis of Down Syndrome many time, and the patient always has a way of making my heart smile. I will always remember my favorite little nugget and his “kerfluffled” hair when I was going through my preceptorship. Despite being hospitalized for cancer treatments, that little ray of sunshine never let you leave the room without making you smile.

Having a diagnosis such as Down Syndrome comes with a lot of associated challenges and struggles, especially when it’s completely new for the family. By providing resources for these families and the providers that treat them, Hope Story is making a situation that can be very confusing, difficult, and scary better for those families who are affected. Raising a child takes a village, regardless of their health concerns. Hope Story helps create this specialized village for those who are affected by Down Syndrome, making their lives just a little more simple as they navigate how to best care for their child and themselves.

I am excited to run my first marathon representing Hope Story and their work. I would greatly appreciate if you would consider donating to the cause so we can help them continue provide resources, education, and hope to families with children diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

Thank you for considering our runners as they work hard to meet their goal of running in the 2025 runDisney Marathon Weekend.
