Goal

The Transcaucasian Trail is an inspiring project which harnesses the adventure of long-distance walking with the economic development of remote rural areas in Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. It creates opportunities for local people to provide hospitality to visiting walkers and carry out conservation projects..

TCT volunteers building the trail

The trail itself has been created largely by local and international volunteers and, of course, stimulates intercultural understanding and friendships in many ways.

TCT recently learned that its core funding from the US Forestry Department has been abruptly terminated, courtesy of Elon Musk taking a chainsaw to US Government funding.

TCT needs to raise $15K to keep going and has asked that people proposing to walk the trail do their own local "Hike-A-Thon" at home to raise funds to enable its basic activities to continue. Simon plans to walk some of the Armenian section of the trail in June and wants to do his bit by doing a circuit of the Frome Wheel as a pretext for inviting his friends to make a donation to TCT.

Whenever you walk a trail you are standing on the shoulders of the people who created it, so any help you can give TCT now will benefit generations of people to come.

Thank you

Note: Your donation goes directly to TCT, not Simon!
