Goal

Hi Family, Friends, and Colleagues,

If you’ve known me for a while, you know how passionate I am about solar energy. Back in high school, I even dressed up as a superhero — “Solar Walters” — to get people excited about renewable energy. In college, I once found out when the board of directors was meeting, showed up as they headed to lunch, and handed them flyers urging the school to become a leader in sustainability and clean energy.

Today, I’m lucky enough to train people from around the world who, in turn, teach their own communities how to install solar safely. At Remote Energy, we focus intentionally on places where a single solar system can change lives — bringing power, opportunity, and energy sovereignty.

The world is at a turning point. The clean energy transition can’t wait — and it won’t happen without people who know how to make it real. Every solar system that powers a home, school, or clinic starts with a trained installer — and every great installer starts with a great teacher. That’s why Remote Energy’s work matters so deeply right now. By training and equipping solar educators worldwide, we’re creating a ripple effect of knowledge, opportunity, and empowerment.

When you support Remote Energy, you’re not just funding a single project — you’re helping build a global network of skilled solar professionals who are powering communities, protecting the planet, and lighting the way to a more sustainable future.

If you’d like to hear directly from some of our students and trainers, check out this short video from one of our classes last year in Nairobi, Kenya.

I would be so honored if you’d join me in supporting this work.

Teach one → Train hundreds → Power thousands
