As a board member of Remote Energy, I’m proud to support an organization tackling one of the biggest gaps in the global clean energy transition: the shortage of trained local solar technicians in underserved communities.

Remote Energy trains technicians and instructors — especially women and Indigenous leaders — who go on to bring technical solar skills and education directly to their own communities. One instructor can teach hundreds. That’s real, lasting impact.

This model builds local technical capacity and is an essential component of the transition to more resilient energy systems and community energy sovereignty.

We’ve worked in over 20 countries and with students from more than 20 Native American Nations — and we’re just getting started.
