Exultate 2025 Bach European Tour

WOW! We are so excited, honored and humbled by this auspicious invitation. It comes as a result of our 27 years of producing fine concerts and our professional choral and orchestral recording of ALL SEVEN of Johann Sebastian Bach's motets, in both German and English. This is the first of its kind IN THE WORLD and is available on our website at:

Our finest musicians will have the opportunity to represent Minnesota and the United States at this famous festival - an honor and a privilege not offered to very many music groups. We are confirmed to perform at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Johann Sebastian Bach was Cantor from 1723 until his death in 1750. We will also have concerts in Berlin, Eisenach (the birthplace of Bach in 1685), Köthen (where Bach was Court Composer from 1717-1723) and Prague, in the Czech Republic.

It will be quite expensive for our choir and orchestra members to travel from Minnesota to Germany to perform. Members come from a range of professional and socioeconomic backgrounds. The fundraising goal for the Bach Tour 2025 is to provide sufficient funds so the musicians who need financial support have the ability to participate. The goal is to raise $60,000. For that WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

Our repertoire at the Bachfest and other performances will include Johann Sebastian Bach: Motet – Komm, Jesu, Komm and Jesu, meine Freude; Johann Pachelbel: Singet dem Herrn; Antonio Lotti: Crucifixus; African American Spirituals and other works by American composers such as William Dawson, Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, Randall Thompson, Stephen Paulus, Igor Stravinsky, Leonard Bernstein, Charles Ives and others.

About Exultate: Exultate is a fine orchestra and choir dedicated to performing at the highest level of artistry. Our concerts are filled with music from all periods of music history and our ultimate goal is to move the listener’s soul. Through intense rehearsals we prepare music and then present performances in acoustical spaces which enhance the listener’s experience and enable that music to move from voice to ears to heart and become music in its purest form – the language of emotions. What a privilege! We also have a great deal of fun doing so. 

Both the orchestra and choir are made up of musicians from all walks of life, many communities within the Twin Cities and a broad range of ages. We enjoy singing and playing together in rehearsals, concerts and off stage at gatherings, parties and other events.
