Emmy and Ashlyn are strong CF warriors and never cease to amaze us. Despite their many hospitalizations and long list of issues related to CF, they push forward and remain happy, active, spunky little girls. BreatheStrong CF is an organization that gives grants to CF patients to help promote exercise and promote overall wellness. Staying active is important to overall health but is also invaluable to their lung health. This grant helps many CF patients, including our girls, to pay for exercise equipment, gym memberships or class fees, etc.

Last year we were able to use this grant to get the girls a membership to the YMCA so we could go swimming during the free swim times and keep them active even when the weather wasn't ideal to run and play outside.

Emmy and Ashlyn have had a love of gymnastics for several years now and have been begging to take gymnastics classes. Gymnastics would not only help keep them active and strong, but it would also give them an activity to make them feel like they can do activities just like other girls their age. We want them to know that just because they are fighting CF daily, they can still be active, strong girls!
