At just eight days old, Aria was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic life shortening condition that creates a thick, sticky buildup of mucus in the lungs and digestive system, making every breath a battle and every day a testament to resilience. She began dancing at three years old and fell in love with the artistry, the thrill, the beauty and the discipline of the craft. But rather than letting it define her limits, she uses dance to redefine her strength.

While her daily life is a quiet war of treatments, medicines, clinical trials, and hospital visits, the stage remains her favorite place—a place where her body is celebrated for its incredible power rather than monitored for its limitations. For Aria, dance is her most important medicine; every move is a rhythmic force that strengthens her lungs, proving that her spirit is far stronger than any diagnosis.

Even as she balances being a teenager with school, friends, and dance she volunteers with researchers to help find a cure, she never loses her grace. When the music starts and she takes center stage, the clinical world vanishes, replaced by the sheer brilliance of a girl who refuses to be held back. Aria is a masterpiece of resilience, showing us all that while a disease may inhabit her body, it will never own her spirit. She doesn't just dance to live; she dances to soar.

Among our initiatives, we provide direct support to people living with CF across the US through exercise grants that are designed to help them build and maintain a lifelong habit of physical activity.
