2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

When our first daughter, Christine, was born in 1983 and diagnosed with Down Syndrome, we were so very fortunate to have amazing support with the agency called ACDS.  How lucky we were to live in Long Island, New York and benefit from all the love and support through all stages of her life - from infancy, preschool, support and sport activities throughout her school years, social activities and when ready in her 20's to move into a home with 6 other friends she has known all of her life - all with the support of ACDS Residential Services. We are truly blessed to have this available and know that she is happy and well taken care of when not with us.  

Unfortunately we know that everyone that has a child with Down Syndrome does not have the same experiences we have.  Without all the love and support of those who have been through the diagnosis before us, we don't know where we would be.  So when I saw the charity, Hope Story, it is one of our ways to help others and fundraising for a 5K in the 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! was a perfect way!!

Any donation to Hope Story helps to provide resources, support, and hope to families whose child has received a Down syndrome diagnosis. We appreciate any and all donations and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
