2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise

I am excited to participate in the Stitch's Ohana Challenge races and am happy to be partnered with Hope Story. The Challenge consists of 3 races - a 5K, a 10K, and a 10 miler, which take place on back to back days at Disney World. This is a challenge I am excited to take on, as it supports my health goals while also including my love of Disney.  

I chose Hope Story because I was inspired by their mission and work with families who have received a Down syndrome diagnosis in their family. Your donation helps Hope Story provide resources, support, and hope to families whose child has received a Down syndrome diagnosis. Hope Story also helps medical professionals deliver hopeful stories to their patients who receive a diagnosis. They strive to provide encouragement, support, and hope to these families. I was intrigued by their work with Hope Advocates. A Hope Advocate is a parent who has a child with Down syndrome who agrees to use their story to bring hope to a new parent of a child with Down syndrome. One of the goals of having Hope Advocates is to connect every OB/GYN in America to a family raising a child with Down syndrome, who can then connect their patients to them. It is encouraging to see an organization trying to provide hope and encouragement to these families and to be working with those in the medical profession in giving these diagnoses to families and connecting them to other families.
