2024 runDisney Halloween Half Marathon Weekend

I have completed many races in my 20 years of running.  It has always been a blessing to meet so many wonderful people pounding pavement alongside of me.  Their stories of triumph, heartache, determination, persistence, and joy have motivated me on some hard miles.  The running community is something special, and that’s an understatement.  

If you know me, you not only know I love running, but I also love Disney.  For years of my 20+ year running career, I have had the opportunity to participate in several Run Disney events, virtually and in Walt Disney World.  

I am so excited to share two first time opportunities for me with running:  getting to run for and support a charity and getting to participate in my first ever Disneyland race events!  I have wanted to run for a charity for several years now, and I am honored to partner with a charity that is near to my heart, Hope Story.  

The mission of Hope Story is to 

• give support, encouragement and hope to parents whose child has received a Down syndrome diagnosis
• to provide free resources to the medical community to help Doctors deliver a Down syndrome diagnosis
• to help parents of children born with Down syndrome use their story to bring hope to others

I have a big goal ahead of me!  My first goal is to raise $2,000. Who wants to join me in blessing so many more families with these incredible resources and bringing them hope?!
