2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend

Down syndrome is something close to my heart.  My nephew, Sammie, has Down syndrome.  He is 17 years old now and continues to be a shining light in our lives.  The prospect of raising a child with Down syndrome can be scary for a new parent.  The medical issues and education system are major hurdles for families with a Down syndrome member.  My husband, Mark, is a maternal-fetal medicine physician who works every day with expecting parents about babies with Down syndrome and other special needs.  Running as an ambassador for Hope Story in the runDisney Halloween Half Marathon is incredibly meaningful for me.  It is an honor and privilege to raise money for this charity.
