2024 Butterfly Parade and Community Walk

"Our journey began nearly 19 years ago when we learned of Taylor’s diagnosis of Turner syndrome before she was even born in 2005. From her tiny 4-pound start, we have watched Taylor grow into a smart, strong, and beautiful young woman. Taylor has overcome many obstacles with drive and determination, and strives to do her best in whatever she encounters.

This year, Taylor graduated from high school as a valedictorian candidate and is now attending Regis University, in the prestigious honors program and pursuing a degree in Biology on the Pre-Med track in hopes of pursuing a career in medicine.

Over the years, we've attended countless medical appointments with specialists, and Taylor has endured numerous hospital procedures and surgeries. One of the most significant was her open-heart surgery for PAPVR (Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return), which she faced with incredible courage at age 13. For 10 years, she also took almost daily Growth Hormone shots, helping her maximize her growth potential. Despite the challenges, her resilience and vibrant spirit remain as strong as ever.  We have been fortunate to have access to a great network of medical providers and staff,  including the multidisciplinary eXtra Ordinary Turner Syndrome clinic at Children’s Hospital where the dedicated staff have supported her throughout her journey.

Taylor cherishes her friendships she has made through the TS community, and the special bond they have developed as they have grown up together.

Our fundraising efforts this year will help TS Colorado continue supporting the TS clinic at Children’s Hospital, as well as providing educational and social events for girls, women, and families in the Turner Syndrome community.

Please join us for the Butterfly Walk  to celebrate Taylor and all the other beautiful butterflies in our community."
