Goal
COMMUNITY, GROWTH, JOY – These are just a few of the benefits we seek to provide through a high-quality and affirming dance education, made increasingly accessible through the support of Friends of Metro Dance.
The opportunity my daughter has from her time dancing with Centennial Youth Ballet reaches far beyond ballet training, although that instruction has been top-notch! Every semester she grows in taking responsibility for her training and equipment, managing her time as she balances rehearsals with other obligations like school and church and family. She grows in confidence each year as she participates in performances and auditions and demonstrates what she learns during observation week. All the while doing these things alongside a sweet community of peers, advanced dancers who serve as peer mentors and professional, caring dance instructors.
-Joanie Carder, parent of student in Ballet: Intermediate III
Friends of Metro Dance has been great for my children because it links them into a great community within our city. The instructors are amazing, and we are so fortunate be a part of this wonderful program!
-Autumn Embry, parent of creative movement, beginning and intermediate ballet students
