As we approach the Holidays, those dealing with a person with Dementia face additional strains. Normally a time of joy, the CareGiver is faced with a person who may not “recognize” the Holidays and is more stressed by the additional activities (visits, etc.) that occur with the Holidays. Plus, often the CareGiver cannot leave the person with Dementia alone to simply do things like shopping for the Grandkids or others! This is where the Respite that ASEDD provides can be a “break”. The CareGiver can leave the house, knowing that the loved one will be watched over; This allows the CareGiver to accomplish tasks or simply get some downtime. Please Help ASEDD Help CareGivers with your Donation. Nearly half the money ASEDD receives is directed to provide CareGivers with Respite!
