The Alaska Eating Disorders Alliance Board and other generous donors are providing a $20,000 match to donors. When you give through October 15, your donation will be doubled and you will make an impact throughout Alaska!
Your gift is especially needed now as we honor Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in September, since eating disorders have the second highest rate of all mental health disorders with about half of the deaths due to suicide. Rates of eating disorders have outpaced all other mental health concerns during and after the pandemic, especially affecting youth.
Your donation will provide important funding so that AKEDA can provide educational, awareness and prevention programs in communities throughout the state to save lives.

Your gift supports AKEDA's professional development courses for medical providers, therapists, and dietitians so that more professionals can provide eating-disorders informed care in-state. Donations also support skills-based training for parents and other support individuals; community education on eating disorder awareness and prevention; presentation to K-12 educators; support groups; and advocacy efforts to improve care for Alaksans. Every gift counts and is much appreciated.
