Rise Up Campaign 2022

I first met the STEM from Dance team in 2019 while volunteering at a school career fair. I couldn't help but notice how much interest their stand was getting from girls of all ages at the school. I too was captivated by the program -- it was so new and exciting to see how they combined learning STEM with dance and choreography in a way I'd never seen! 

For the next 3 summers I had the privilege of being a guest speaker for STEM from Dance students. The girls have been so excited to tell me about what they're building and learning, and they always have so many thoughtful questions about what a career in software engineering is like. Their energy is contagious, and it's clear how much value, knowledge and confidence this program has given them.

STEM from Dance is helping girls see they too can be software engineers, marine biologists, botanists AND dancers, actors, and writers. Through STEM from Dance programming, our girls gain CONFIDENCE, ACCESS, and the TOOLS they need to pursue a career in STEM.
