Those are the 3 main objectives of the amazing summer program Girls Rise Up!

Please join me in Paying It Forward by making a contribution to STEM From Dance’s  summer program for girls from disadvantaged areas. STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math lacks diversity and particularly lacks Black and Latina women in the workforce. Many low-income girls don’t pursue STEM careers simply because they are unaware of the opportunities. STEM From Dance changes that dynamic. The locations for this summer’s program are Atlanta, Houston, NYC, and Tampa. Virtual participation is also an option. I am honored and proud to say my son, Bryan Ballegeer, (pictured with me) is the Board Chair of this fantastic Not For Profit. STEM From Dance is the brainchild of Yamilay Toussaint Baker, an MIT Engineer who also happens to be a woman of color and a dancer growing up.
