Goal
Invest in Disability Artistry
I am the Treasurer of the AXIS Board of Directors. AXIS Dance Company is very dear to my heart because we are actually changing the face of Dance & Disability. An AXIS film was recently part of a film festival and we were lucky enough to receive a video of participants' reactions to seeing AXIS in the piece Roots Above Ground. Some of the comments literally brought tears to my eyes. "I thought it was so powerful to see dancers in wheelchairs. I've never seen that before...And it changes your perspective of what dance is and what dance can be." We are striving to create a radically inclusive dance sector and world by removing barriers and showcasing the beauty of difference.
You make our work possible.
To continue AXIS' forward momentum in 2023, we're raising $20,000 by the end of the year.
Will you help us reach our goal?
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation of $50, $100 or $200 today.
Your gift will help us keep moving forward in redefining dance and disability on stages, dance studios, classrooms and virtually across the country and world.
