Goal

In May 2020, Team See Possibilities will embark on their 6th endurance challenge in 6 years on 6 continents.  Led by his three guides Brad Graff, Charles Scott, and Alison Qualter-Berna, Dan Berlin will attempt to become the first blind athlete to run a 100km trail run/hike in Scotland.   The team will also be visiting various schools and organizations to raise money for the Global Scholarship Program, which was launched in 2019.

The TSP Global Scholarship Program aims to help aspiring students with vision loss take on the challenges of gaining a higher education. In conjunction with our 5th epic endurance challenge in New Zealand, we are directing our financial support and positive energy towards a $25,000 goal. Our plan is to offer 5 scholarships up to $5000 each to students who are blind and vision-impaired in New Zealand and the United States in 2019. This new program enhances TSP's mission by focusing on meaningful education and career pathways for individuals with vision loss. The first phase will help students with vision loss alleviate the financial stress of obtaining college education. Longer term we intend to create several diverse documented career pathways from high school through college for the same students. The end goal is to facilitate a meaningful education and career path for those that have the will and determination to take on the challenge and eventually create role models showing how a vision impairment can be a challenge that makes one stronger not a limitation on what one can achieve.
