SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF 10KIF

We're a small charity with a big mission: we want to build a more inclusive world of work.

To do this, we create internship opportunities for underrepresented talent, but the changing environment of the last year has been tough and now we are responding to a legal challenge about the eligibility criteria of one of our programmes.

Since 2020, we’ve created more than 10,000 internships. We also support our alumni through training and development and shape practice and policy through our data driven insights.

Our programmes are lawful, evidence-based positive action measures under Section 158 of the Equality Act 2010, designed to address clear and persistent underrepresentation. We are confident in the legal basis of our approach.

We are a small team of 12, and are gratefully receiving pro-bono legal support, but our future depends on your support as we navigate this challenging period.

Every little helps, but if you want to go further with a donation of over £2,500 or to support us in a different way, please contact Nana, at nana@10000internsfoundation.com

You broke barriers for kids who couldn’t do so themselves. You changed my life and many others. Don’t back down and know that one spoon of chocolate can change a whole glass of milk.

10,000 Black Interns is amazing and purpose driven company that helps to bridge the workplace inequalities that disproportionately impact access and equality for those of black heritage and other historically marginalised groups. It is important that these equality driven initiatives are supported and protected as seen with initiatives towards womens' rights, disability rights and LGBTQ+ rights.

My thoughts & best wishes are with you guys at this challenging time. I have been a beneficiary of the tremendous impact of your internship programme. It gave me the confidence & an opportunity to step my foot in the UK job market after receiving several rejection emails despite already being a mid-career Chartered Accountant from my home country.

You helped me achieve many of the career opportunities I’ve received so far till date. I know it’s little but I see it as an opportunity to sew into the program. I know so many young people facing the brunt of the employment market right now and it’s having a larger impact on diversity in the work place. Please keep doing what you are doing!

An amazing organisation that gave me the opportunity to intern in an industry I would’ve never explored otherwise. Helped me get my foot in the door, and receive more opportunities as a result of that experience.

The work 10k black interns does our community is super important. Without you i would’ve never had the opportunity to work in a corporate role, which gave me enough experience to move on to my current role. This donation is not much but I hope it adds to something.
