Beyond 10,000: Powering the Future of Black Talent

The 10,000 Interns Foundation began in 2020 with a simple pledge: create 100 paid internships for young Black talent.

And quickly grew into an ambitious mission: To create 10,000 paid internship opportunities for underrepresented students and graduates across the UK.

And we did it.

As of 2025, we’ve created more than 10,000 paid internship opportunities across 35 sectors. Thousands have launched careers, built networks, and stepped into industries that once excluded them. Along the way, we built the UK’s fastest-growing pipeline of Black talent.

This milestone reflects a deeper mission: to reshape what equity in the workplace can look like when it’s not treated as charity, but recognised as strategy. It reminds us what’s possible when opportunity is made real.

Now, we are launching our next chapter.

We celebrated our 10,000 intern opportunities milestone at our 5 Year Anniversary event and we are now inviting our wider community to build on this incredible momentum.

Beyond 10,000 is our new public campaign to support the training, mentorship and support that turns an opportunity into a career.

This is just the beginning. It’s the start of something even bigger.
