The 10,000 Interns Foundation began in 2020 with a simple pledge: create 100 paid internships for young Black talent.

And quickly grew into an ambitious mission: To create 10,000 paid internship opportunities for underrepresented students and graduates across the UK.

And we did it.

As of 2025, we’ve created more than 10,000 paid internship opportunities across 35 sectors. Thousands have launched careers, built networks, and stepped into industries that once excluded them. And along the way, we built the UK’s fastest-growing pipeline of Black talent.
But these achievements only tell part of the story.
This milestone reflects a deeper mission: to open doors, build trust, and reshape what equity in the workplace can look like when it’s not treated as charity, but recognised as strategy.
It reminds us, and shows the world, what’s possible when opportunity is made real.
So, this year, we’re sending out 10,000 invitations to gather our alumni together to celebrate a movement that has transformed careers and challenged long-standing norms.
And with the launch of our new 10,000 Alumni programme this autumn and the return of our flagship internship programme, this is just the beginning. It’s the start of something even bigger.

Donate today to support the future of work and be part of the next milestone.
