Let me help lead Ward 4 — and Mooresville — with integrity, honesty, candor, transparency, and a commitment to responsible, people-first progress. Public service is a sacred trust. I believe I have courage to truly represent the values of the people I have been elected by.
Why Am I Running? After serving our country for more than 33 years in the military, I want to serve my community as a voice for those who believe it’s time for change in local government — a government that listens, is held accountable to the best interests of our residents and puts the people of Mooresville FIRST. Recently I’ve grown increasingly concerned about issues surrounding transparency, ethics, and development by the current governance. It’s time for local leadership that ensures residents are informed, heard, and prioritized — especially when it comes to how our town grows.
Who Am I?
- Mooresville resident (Morrison Plantation) since 2008, apart from military assignments and deployments
- Retired Army National Guard Colonel and decorated combat veteran
- Father of four, former University Professor of Psychology
- Owner and Principal of Tucker Talent Consulting, LLC LinkedIn Profile
- Active community member and proud pickleball enthusiast
What Do I Bring to the Table?
- Proven leadership - Commanded at the company, battalion, and regiment levels, including in multinational and combat environments. Many of the duties I was tasked with in the military, especially during my deployments to Iraq and Kosovo, were centered around ensuring that protocol and a moral code were adhered to, while effectively managing multifaceted international relationships and safeguarding those under my watch. I originally enlisted, yet my commitment to my country led me to further my military career through extensive education, leading to my eventual rank as a Colonel.
- MBA, Brigham Young University
- Master’s in Strategic Studies, U.S. Army War College
- Master’s and Ph.D. in Psychology, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
What Will I Focus on as your public servant?
- Integrity and independence — No conflicts of interest; just a desire to do what’s right for our community
- Commitment to community — Focused on morale, unity, and a stable, high-functioning town workforce that is supported by local leadership with the best interests of our community at heart.
- Public Safety - Support for the protection of our communities and advocacy for our first responders.
- Transparency - Ensuring Mooresville residents have consistent access to all information, including how tax dollars are spent and open communication on what’s happening with town leadership.
- Smart Development - Advocating for controlled, responsible growth that reflects the needs and interests of current residents over corporate priorities.Access and Communication - Being available, responsive, and engaged with the people of our Town. I am sincerely invested in listening to the real concerns of our residents that have been displaced by the ongoing issues surrounding our current leadership. A change in representation is crucial to making our voices heard. I want to address the actual issues that are affecting Ward 4 as well as Mooresville as a whole.
