Help us ensure all our Home-based and Care Centre families have the knowledge and supplies they need to grow plentiful and healthy food
The food that families grow sustains them nutritionally and economically. Please give what you can to help the Seed Project remain strong in it's assistance to families that don't have enough food to eat.
By giving to this fund, you are supporting our effort to provide needy rural families with a small grant for quality seed and fertilizer, accompanied by education to put those farm inputs to good use.
While keeping a focus on sustainable food production methods, this program also teaches about income-earning farm activities as well, including horticultural farming and raising poultry.
Most of our Homebased families have a small farm but cannot afford the inputs they need to make it productive, whether those inputs are seeds and fertilizer or chicks and mash. This program helps them increase farm yields and incomes, which makes it more likely that the children and families we support will eat three square meals a day.
