Paws to Celebrate 2025

As we wrap up another year of rescue work, we’re taking a moment to Paws to Celebrate—to honor every dog who found safety, healing, and a loving home through Peak Lab Rescue, and to look ahead at the countless lives still waiting for their chance. Peak Lab Rescue, North Carolina’s largest foster-based Labrador rescue, has welcomed hundreds of dogs this year: scared strays, pregnant mamas in distress, big-hearted seniors, and abandoned Labs who had nowhere else to go. Many arrived needing urgent and expensive care, from emergency C-sections to deliver their puppies safely, to life-saving heartworm treatment for adult dogs, to medications, diagnostics, and hospitalization that simply couldn’t wait.

When other rescues have to say, “We can’t right now,” Peak Lab Rescue steps in and asks, “How can we help?” We believe every dog deserves to feel safe, wanted, and loved in a forever home—and we refuse to turn away a dog simply because their medical needs are complicated or costly. But with that commitment comes growing expenses. Veterinary care, medications, transport, foster supplies, and emergency treatments add up quickly, and the need is higher than ever.

That’s why we’re launching our Paws to Celebrate Year-End Fundraiser with a goal of $40,000. Your generosity keeps our promise alive—the promise to keep saying yes to dogs who need us most.
